King Lizwardo had been ill for several years, but had taken a turn for the worse. His twin sons, Lizwaldo and Lizademus, were bitter rivals vying for power and cozying up to their father in the hopes of securing their position as his replacement before his demise. On his deathbed, King Lizwardo informed his sons, “Whoever can find a princess within one hour and bring her to me first will be the next King.”
Lizawaldo and Lizademus set off that evening on their respective horses, determined to bring back their future Queen within the next sixty minutes. It would be easy. Both princes were dashing, young man-lizards, and there was no shortage of unsuspecting females frolicking near the castle.
