Weekly vocabulary homework is given on the first day of the week. It is due on the morning of the last day of the week. Students have all week to work on it. Some homework may be due the following day, when necessary, which will always be stated in the daily homework log. Any classwork that does not get finished turns into homework due at the end of them week.

ELA/Social Studies Grades:

Weekly vocabulary sheets will be graded and returned each week. Please check your child's binder for those graded worksheets. The majority of our ELA work is done online. With that being said, the StudySync curriculum is connected to Google Classroom. When grades are complete for that work, their scores will show on Google Classroom. Please ask your child to show you their grades on Google Classroom regularly.

Every month, students are required to read one book and create a book report/review "one pager" project. It can be done with fiction and nonfiction texts. Instructions, rubric, and examples can be found below. These are worth 30 points. 1 point of extra credit will be given to students who complete a one-pager for a book within the monthly genre challenge. An additional 1 point of extra credit will be given to students who take and pass the AR test for their one-pager book.
