MWA offers internship opportunities during the Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters, perfect for students studying editing or motion graphics who are eager to explore the entertainment advertising industry. During their internship, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the post-production process and invaluable insights into the operations of a trailer shop.
In this Internship, you will:
Have the opportunity to shadow our creative teams, seeing the process of creating a trailer first-hand.
(Editorial Candidates) Have the opportunity to edit your own trailer and receive direct feedback from our Editors, Producers, and Creative Directors.
(Editorial Candidates) Learn to use AVID Media Composer and will complete the internship with a solid working knowledge of the software.
(Motion Graphic Candidates) Have the opportunity to collaborate with our graphics team to develop create title cards and style frames for a trailer.
(Motion Graphic Candidates) Learn to use After Effects and will complete the internship with a solid working knowledge of the software.
Qualifications:
Must be willing to work on-site in our studio in Santa Monica, California. Candidates must be located within commuting distance of the office prior to the start of the apprenticeship. Relocation assistance will not be provided.
Candidates should be ambitious, team players, have strong communication skills, and have a genuine interest in the trailer-making business.
This internship is unpaid. Applicants must currently be enrolled as a university/college student and eligible to receive course credit.
Candidates are not required to be proficient with editing or design software prior to the start of the program; however, some familiarity is preferred.
