A MESSAGE FROM PINE TREE PRINCIPAL, MR. GERMAN
Dear Pine Tree Families,
Happy New Year and welcome back! We hope you and your family enjoyed a restful and joyful holiday season. January marks a fresh start as we return to our routines and continue building on the strong learning and sense of community at Pine Tree Elementary School.
As we begin the new year, we look forward to several important events and opportunities for families to stay connected and engaged. Please be sure to note the dates and reminders below.
January 15th: Strategic Planning Meeting – Open to the Public
Families and community members are invited to attend the district Strategic Planning Meeting on January 15th at Pine Tree Elementary from 5:30 pm to 7 pm. This meeting is open to the public and provides an opportunity to learn more about the district’s goals and planning for the future.
January 16th: PBIS Assembly – Wear Your MW Best!
We will be holding our January PBIS Assembly on January 16th. Students are encouraged to wear their MW best as we recognize positive behavior and reinforce our school-wide expectations.
As winter weather continues, please remember to send your child to school dressed appropriately for outdoor recess and physical education. Coats, hats, gloves, and layers are strongly recommended during the colder months.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership as we move into the second half of the school year. We look forward to a productive and successful January at Pine Tree Elementary.
Warmly,
Robert German
Pine Tree Principal

Free Meals - All Students
2025-2026 School Year Reminder
All students enrolled at Monroe-Woodbury Central School District are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch in school at no charge to your household each day of the 2025-2026 school year.
All students will be able to participate in these meal programs on the first day of school without having to pay a fee or submit an application. All schools provide a breakfast program for students upon entry into school and a lunch program for students in the cafeteria.
School meal programs offer breakfast and lunch meals that meet strict federal nutrition standards, aligned with the Dietary Guidelines for Americans and are planned with student preferences in mind. If packing food from home, students can add to their home brought lunch at no cost by choosing at least three of the five items offered, (e.g., low fat milk, proteins, whole grains, vegetables, and fruits), one of which must be a vegetable or fruit. We invite students to show their support for their school food service program through participation.
