MVRHS Transition Program
Voyager is a transition program for students from MVRHS who are 18-22 years old. Voyager students are working on building skills around accessing the community and identifying areas of interest and where they want to work when they graduate. Students are working on developing skills in the areas of communication, vocational, social skills, and activities of daily living.

What kind of tasks are Voyagers doing?
What kind of tasks are Voyagers doing?
At Thimble farm students fill trays with soil pods, labels bags and glean. At Edgartown School students clean lunch tables, set up fruit bowls, fold dish towels and recycle. At MVRHS cafeteria they clean tables and chairs, refill silverware and napkins and fold laundry. At Misty Meadows, they ride and groom horses, sweeps the barn and dusts cobwebs out of the horse stalls. At Fern & Feather preschool, students help children with their lunch and set up for nap time. At Felix Neck they feed turtles, fish, and a snake in their wildlife sanctuary. At Edgartown Library, they sanitize toys, headphones and computer mice as well as checking if the markers work. Voyager students are taught ADLs and functional academics in the classroom and are embedded in their vocational routine.
