Languages

Most tribes speak different languages that are not as well known currently, and this tribe also does. First, they speak a Northwestern dialect of Sahaptin Yakama. Next, the Yakama tribe is trying to change the name of their language back to its original name Ichishkíin Sínwit. Finally, the Penutian language is spoken in south-central Washington and northern Oregon.
