FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

Question: How many books may I checked out at one time?

Answer: You may have up to 3 books for enjoyment reading at any given time. This does not include textbooks, classroom novels (books you're reading in class, or other books/materials to support your in classroom studies, projects, etc.)

Question: How long may I have a book out for?

Answer: Book loans will be for two (2) weeks.

Question: How will I know when to bring back my book(s)?

Answer: Great question! There are two ways to quickly note when your book is due. First, locate the Due Date slip in the inside front cover (or sometimes on the second page) of your book. The date it is due back is written at the bottom (the last, and most current date). Second, log into your library record using the steps above for Review Your Library Record and note which books you have out and when to bring them back. This might also be a good time to renew your materials if you want to keep them longer.

Question: How many times may I renew my library books?

Answer: You may renew your library materials two (2) times. Exceptions are when someone else has the item on hold, or you have a classroom novel or textbook checked out. Those items cannot be renewed. If you have trouble renewing your items, or you have exceeded the two-renew limit, email Mrs. B. (dbhajaria@mvwsd.org) if you want to extend your loan further.
