Most students rent instruments monthly when they first start out. It is the best way to play on a high-quality instrument without spending a lot all at once. Families should wait to rent an instrument online until AFTER completing the online program registration form. There are three great local options for instrument rentals (click the blue buttons below for more information):
***All online instrument rental orders must be placed by Monday, September 15th in order to arrive in time for the first lesson!***
Recommend accessories and lessons books for each instrument are listed in each rental company's online form:
STRINGS: Please check with Mrs. Messier about the correct instrument size for your child before renting any string instrument. Beginner Violin, Viola, and Cello students will need to purchase the method book: "String Basics, Book One" for their instrument in addition to any other recommended instrument-specific accessories.*
BAND: Beginner Flute, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Euphonium, and Snare Drum students will need to purchase the method book, "Tradition of Excellence, Book One" for their instrument in addition to any other recommended instrument-specific accessories.*
*It is recommended that all students have a music stand in order to help practice with appropriate posture at home.
