Note to Parents from Katie Dorr (Digital Literacy Specialist) : Technology can be a great tool for connecting with others, communicating, creating and critical thinking. I encourage students to find ways to create and communicate with technology and not to spend a lot of time just consuming content. Consider using tech to have your child take pictures and share the recipe they learned to make or the art they created. Have them journal about and share the family hike, create videos or cards to share with people who are isolated. If your child is playing games, doing math, watching videos online, please take time to interact with them as they do so. Learning with tech is far more effective when it is a co-use activity.
