Open System Preferences
Open System Preferences
Click the Apple logo in the upper right corner.
Make sure you exit full-screen before opening System Preferences.
Find "Security & Privacy"
Find "Security & Privacy"
The icon looks like a little grey house with a circle inside.
Open the "Privacy" tab
Open the "Privacy" tab
Find "Screen Recording" and make sure the checkbox for Google Chrome is checked. You might also have access to Webcam and Microphone settings which can be enabled as well.
NOTE: Your MacBook/Google will always alert you if the camera or microphone is turned on -- a green light displays next to the camera. This security feature is hard-wired into the camera, so you always know if the mic or camera is on when the little green light appears.
