Principles of Construction Trades
As the introduction class, students will familiarize themselves with hand tools as well as learn safety procedures for jobsites and tool handling. They will create small projects that they will be able to keep and have for as long as they'd like to.
Principles of Advanced Manufacturing
As the introduction class, students will learn the basics of manufacturing as well as the various resources necessary in the manufacturing industry. The highlight of this class is having students create their own company where they decide what to manufacture, and through that project, understand how involved manufacturing is.
My name is Maxwell Sokol and I have been in the construction industry for over 12 years. I've recently moved from Arizona where I was self-employed as a general contractor. Before moving back to Indiana, I obtained my Indiana home inspector's license, which I still do today. I have a Bachelor's of Science degree in Game Design, which I am using to start a club at MHS for game design to give students the opportunity to learn how to create games before college, giving them an edge on their peers.
