MVP Physical Therapy & Pilates, LLC
Brooke Ruggles, DPT
About Brooke
Brooke Ruggles received her Masters and Doctor of Physical Therapy from Northwestern University in Chicago and attended Vanderbilt University where she received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology. She has been practicing Physical Therapy in Charlotte, NC since 2003 and spent 16 years of her career at Carolina Neurosurgery and Spine specializing in spine disorders and general orthopedic pathologies before going out on her own and starting MVP.
She became a STOTT Trained Pilates Instructor in 2005 and regularly incorporates all aspects of Pilates into her clinical practice. She believes that Pilates perfectly compliments her rehabilitation and physical therapy work. Pilates enhances body awareness and posture; improves core strength and spine stabilization; lengthens muscles and improves mobility; all while strengthening the entire body with minimal impact to the joints.
Brooke truly understands the human body and is passionate about helping people recover from injury or simply feel better moving through life with less pain. Her daily motto for herself and her patients is "movement is medicine".
Brooke spent her childhood playing many sports and now is triathlete and a mom of 3 young children (whose initials, "MVP", inspired the name of her business) and she is dedicated to treating every client as the "Most Valuable Patient".
