We are glad to hear that you are interested in helping out our school community. Applications are now open, see: Apply Interviews will then take place in March before the admission team makes the final decision.Â
Yes, you can always apply to Ambassadors again regardless if you get accepted or not. Please keep in mind that due to the large amounts of applicants, the admission decision is a hard process and a rejection does not reflect your leadership traits or you as a person.
The committment is medium to high, with returning Ambassadors having more responsibility. All Ambassadors are required to attend certain events, including but not limited to Spartans Pause, Freshman Orientation, Back to School Night, Freshman Lessons, and 8th Grade Parent Night. Furthermore, one must attend all of their events that are hosted by their committee.
No, you can sign up to be a pod leader without being a part of Ambassadors. This can be a great option for you to make a positive impact if you didn't get accepted into Ambassadors or if you don't have a high time commitment to be in Ambassadors. Thank you for considering to create a memorable experience for freshmen in MVHS.
A daily class session in Ambassadors includes doing a mindfulness activity, peer to peer check-in, a community building activity, and committee collaboration time.
MVHS Ambassadors is focused on mental health, wellbeing, and improving the experience of new students such as freshmen, transfer students, and multilingual learners. On the other hand, MVHS Associated Student Body (ASB) is focused on school spirit and monetized events such as the Homecoming Dance and Winter Ball. Both programs have some mutual events that allows for collaboration, such as Back to School Night, Wellness Week, Culture Week, and 8th Grade Parent Night.
