McKinney-Vento Program
Serving Students in Transition
About Us
The Medina Valley ISD McKinney-Vento Program is highly dedicated to working with families and unaccompanied (homeless) youth that live in a temporary living situation due to loss of housing.
As the District Homeless Liaison, I will strive to support the needs of these individuals and their families by removing all barriers to school attendance and promoting academic progress. I will work in partnership with a network of service providers, shelters, food pantries, clinics, and other community agencies to connect families to these resources.
Please feel free to contact me at (830) 931-2243 Ext. 1186 if you would like further information regarding the MVISD McKinney-Vento Program.
If you or someone you know have lost their housing and now live in a shelter, motel, vehicle, campground, or temporary trailer; on the street; living with family or friends (doubled-up); or in another type of temporary or inadequate housing, your child may be able to receive help through a federal law called the McKinney-Vento Act. Any and all information will be kept confidential.
