Welcome to third grade! My name is Mrs. Thompson, and I am so excited to have this wonderful group of students for my sixth year of teaching at Fortville Elementary. I am an alumni of Mt. Vernon Community Schools, and I love that I am able to teach students growing up in the same community I am from. This is my second year teaching third grade, and I have previously taught kindergarten and math lab at FES.

I graduated from Indiana University, and I am a Hoosier through and through! I am married and live in Carmel with my husband (Jeff), dog (Peyton), and cat (Toby). I have had my dog for almost 13 years, and my cat was a wonderful gift from one of my student's families a couple of years ago when I was on the hunt for a new kitten!

If you ever need to contact me, I check my email and Dojo Messages every day. I try to make myself available after school to answer phone calls or be in my room if you need to stop by every day until about 3:30.
