Graduation Requirements
COLLEGE PREPARATORY CURRICULUM- for those following ACE and/or Oklahoma’s Promise:
- 4-English
- 3-Mathematics: 3 units with content and/or rigor above Algebra I and approved for college admission requirements. All 3 units must be taken in grades 9-12.
- 3-Laboratory Science: Limited to Biology, a physical science (physical science, chemistry or physics) and any lab science course with content and/or rigor equal to or above Biology and approved for college admission requirements. Note: Science courses above Biology I may be taught at a high school or technology center.
- 3-Social Studies: 1 unit United States History, ½ to 1 unit United States Government, ½ unit Oklahoma History and ½ to 1 unit selected from World History, Geography, Economics, Civics, or non Western Culture approved to meet college admissions requirements.
- 2-Years of the same Foreign Language or Non-English Language OR Computer Technology:
- 1-Additional Unit selected from the courses listed above or career and technology courses approved for college admission requirements.
- 1-Fine Arts: 1 unit or set of competencies for fine arts.
*All students shall fulfill the requirements for a Personal Financial Literacy Passport & CPR in order to graduate from an accredited public high school with a standard diploma.
Electives: The number of elective units plus the number of units from above must be equal to a minimum of 26 units for graduation.
CORE CURRICULUM (for those opting out of the College Preparatory curriculum)
**Opt out formed must be signed by parent.
- 4-English
