Google Classroom foundations as you learn to create a class and add students. Next, learn to organize a class with topics and use the assignment workflow - assign, grade, feedback, return. Add questions (discussion and polls) and static material to a class. Finish by learning to post to the stream (announcements). Leave ready to use Google Classroom with your students.
Design Google assignments and projects which require students to do more than just regurgitate facts. Create assignments where the entire class works or small groups work collaboratively. Understand how to select the best tool for the assignment and how to provide students with choice. Explore the workflow for collaborative projects and strategies to support student success. Try using Jamboard for assignments. Leave with ready to use templates you can copy and customize.
Students live in a video world. Learn to record and use video as part of your instruction; and create assignments requiring students to submit video to demonstrate mastery. Whether you use a phone or a Chromebook, it’s easy to record and share video. Finish with an introduction to Flipgrid, the free program which supports students submitting video recordings for discussions and feedback.
Create a self-graded quiz using Google Forms which can include text, images and videos. Provide feedback for incorrect answers which links back to specific material for review. Review quiz data to improve instruction. Create a password protected quiz. Create a survey or input form for parents, students, or staff to collect information.
