Students will be investigating the following topics: Scientific inquiry, matter, periodic table, ecosystem, and human impact.

Students will demonstrate the understanding of flow of energy in organisms and ecosystems. They will be able to demonstrate the understanding of pattern of interactions among multiple ecosystems, and how uneven distribution of Earth's resources are the result of past and current geoscience processes.

Students will also learn the structure and properties of matter, and properties of matter before and after chemical reactions.
