Dress Code

RANCHO UNIFORM STANDARDS

ONLY white, hunter/forest green, black, or khaki colors are acceptable, unless noted;

FADED BLACK JEANS OR JEANS WITH HOLES NOT ALLOWED.

POLO SHIRTS

All shirts must have a collar.

Button down shirts O.K.; must be completely

buttoned.

**Current Rancho Spirit Shirts are O.K.

Stdts out of uniform will be given a loaner shirt.

Size: No more than one size larger.

T-shirts are not to be worn over nor

hang down past the polo shirt.

SWEATSHIRTS & SWEATERS

Sweatshirts must be solid colors only.

Rancho spirit wear or a polo shirt must be

worn underneath any sweatshirt or sweater.


TURTLENECK/ OTHER SHIRTS

Turtlenecks may be worn underneath

Rancho spirit wear or a polo shirt.

No crop-top shirts or tank tops are allowed.

Hoods may only be worn outside when it is

raining.

SHORTS

Length: With arms to sides, and fingers

extended, the hem must be 1" longer than

finger tips.

Also, green/khaki camouflage is permitted.

No athletic shorts, sagging shorts, or

shorts one size larger than student’s size.

Shorts may not be rolled up.


SKIRTS

Black or Khaki Watch Plaid is acceptable.

Length: With arms to sides and fingers

extended, the hem must be at least 1"

longer than the tips of the fingers.

Skirts cannot be rolled up nor have slits.


PANTS

Pants must have visible, real pockets.

Traditional school uniform pants are ideal.

Green/khaki, camouflage and solid black

jeans O.K.

No athletic bottoms (sweats or track pants).

Stdts out of uniform will be given loaner pants.

Size: Only one size larger than waist. Cannot

hang down and may not be baggy style. The

pants must cover undergarments or shorts

worn under pants; no sagging.

BELTS and SHOES

Dangling belts are not permitted.

No open toes, sandals, or heels.

BODY PIERCINGS

Only ears may be pierced.

Earrings may only be an inch or smaller

and cannot be gauges; plugs are okay.


HATS

Hats may only be worn OUTSIDE buildings.

Hats must be worn FORWARD.


STUDENT IDS

ID’s must be visible on either a lanyard

around the neck or a belt clip.


TIGHTS/SOCKS

Neither thigh highs nor knee-high socks are allowed.

Tights may only be worn under shorts

and skirts of appropriate length.

COLLEGE WEDNESDAYS

Every Wednesday, Rancho permits all students to wear either a college t-shirt or sweatshirt, and blue jeans in lieu of Rancho’s uniform. Students wearing a college sweatshirt must also wear either a college t-shirt, Rancho Spirit Wear t-shirt, or a collared shirt underneath.

On an individual basis, Rancho Administration may require additional dress standards, such as a color contract, to ensure campus safety.
