About Me

Professional: I earned two BA degrees in Women's Studies and Spanish from UC Irvine, teaching credential from CSU Long Beach, and MA in Instructional Technology from SJSU. I've been teaching primary grades here at Sinnott since 2000. Most of my experience has been in third grade, though.

Personal: I live in Berkeley with my husband and two daughters. I don't enjoy my commute, but I love my house and my workplace equally, so I get up before dark and drag myself here every morning. As a family, we enjoy eating dinner together, our Friday night tradition of pizza and a movie, playing cards and board games, traveling, reading books, and making each other laugh. I play in a soccer league and have games most Sundays, so if I hobble into work on Monday morning, you'll know the reason. I also work in my yard when weather permits and have created a beautiful, welcoming backyard where I like to hang out with my dog, Murphy.
