Welcome to 6th Grade!

I hope everyone had a rejuvenating summer!  In order to have a successful start, I am asking all families who have Chromebooks, laptops, or tablets that are able to connect to the internet to please send a device to school with your child every day.  Many lessons and activities will be completed online this year, and it will help everyone stay safe and engaged if each student has a device.  It would also help to send your child with headphones or earbuds and a filled water bottle each day.

Below is a more detailed, suggested supply list.  Anything your family can provide will be greatly appreciated!  Thank you!!

Virtual Community Service Opportunities

I have virtual community service opportunities for any Room 32 alumni students who are interested.  I will need students to help with a variety of tasks, such as helping to update my website, etc.  Please email me if you would like to know more!

Teacher Bio

Kiscelle Calvello loves teaching at John Sinnott Elementary School.  She has been teaching in Milpitas, California since 2001.  Project Based Learning (PBL) is her current passion.  She believes that PBL has limitless possibilities to engage all students in their learning and hopes to broaden community involvement during the next school year and beyond.  Mrs. Calvello loves technology, all things Marvel, and reading science fiction and fantasy novels, specially Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Asimov's robot series.  Mrs. Calvello has the best husband in the world and two, amazing kids.  When she is not going on adventures with her family, she plays video games, piano, guitar, banjo, and ukulele during her spare time.  She has a crazy ton of pets, including chickens and goats.
