About Us
WHAT IS SCIENCE OLYMPIAD?
An Olympic style competition with 23 events per division that covers all fields of STEM (biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, technology, earth science, inquiry, and nature of science).
Three divisions
Division C: 9th grade to 12th grade
Division B: 6th grade to 9th grade
Division A: 2nd grade to 6th grade
Teams consists of 15 members
Each member competes in 3-4 events
Each event has 2 to 3 people competing together
ABOUT OUR TEAM
Our student-run and staff-supported organization started in 2007 with only a few students and now we have more than 100 people sign up each year. Our members are not just students who take AP and honors science classes, but students from all backgrounds. Our top team has qualified for States seven times in total, placing in the top ten almost every time. Most recently, in 2023, we placed 6th place at states and 3rd place in our regionals. We also provide outreach to the two middle school teams in our school district.
