Hello Parents and Guardians of Room 29,

We are off to a great start. This week students gave mini presentations on information they put on their name tags. Every student spoke with a clear voice with wonderful volume. We continued going over our classroom expectations, while introducing math review games and worksheets. In addition students have begun to using more descriptive vocabulary through games and writing activities. Next week we will begin working more in our ELA, Social Studies, and newly adopted math curriculum. Also Students will have science all next week, please make sure you send the science materials with the students to class on Monday. Please continue to sign students daily planners every night.

Here are the highlights of the next few weeks:  

• Next week is a science week. Bring all science materials for Mrs. Chu by Monday, 8/24/26

• Fall Pictures 9/2/2026 (must be in school uniform)

• Back To School Night Wednesday, 9/2/2026 5:30-6:30pm

• A few helpful reminders:

• Please have all students in bed by 8:30. This is a pinnacle time in their growing process and students need sleep. 

• Encourage students to show you their weekly planner and the tasks they have completed daily. 

I  have placed a Weekly Planner Schedule under the "Student Files" to help everyone  understand what is being done together as a class and what is homework. I will also be making minor changes to our Google Classroom throughout the year.
