Hello Parents and Guardians of Room 29,
I know it has been a while since I have done a message home to everyone. Please accept my deepest apologies for the long pause. In class we have moved foreword on to division, started our new book study on the Lemonade War, we have started studying figurative language, and we are almost finished with our name story writing. We will continue to work in our social studies books, with tarting a new section on California Native American unit. Book Taco is back up and running and students can continue working on their reading counts activities. Please look at the hilighlights below for further quick updates.

49er field day Wednesday, Nov 12th (this was moved form Thursday, 11/12 due to rain in the forecast.)
Wed, Nov 12 Spirit Wear Sports day
Friday. Nov 14th birthday celebrations for the months of Oct, Nov, and Dec. If you are able to help out by supplying pizza, snacks, drinks, or helping out on the day of please email me at athrom@musd.org

A few helpful reminders:
Please have all students in bed by 8:30. This is a pinnacle time in their growing process and students need sleep.
Encourage students to show you their weekly planner and the tasks they have completed daily.
I have placed a Weekly Planner Schedule under the "Student Files" to help everyone understand what is being done together as a class and what is homework. I will also be making minor changes to our Google Classroom throughout the year.
