4th Grade
A Little bit about Mr. Throm
This is my 13th year of teaching and fifth year at 4th. Before coming to Sinnott I was a P.E. Paraprofessional at Spangler Elementary for 6 years. For 11 summers I had worked for the Department of Forestry assisting in logistical support fighting fires.
My Hobbies include woodworking, painting, and anything Star Wars!
As an amateur woodworker I enjoy making a variety of items as fireplace mantels, cabinets and more. My father was a huge influence to me in this. I would watch him, as a child ,work with all of the power tools and hand tools to make wonderful additions for our house.
My interest in painting began as a young child when my parents enrolled me in a young artist class. There I learned the meaning of enjoyment in art expression. I have fond memories of laughter and collaborating with fellow students talking about our art pieces and the different ways in which we could challenge ourselves.
Of course my childhood was filled with Star Wars! The adventures I would imaging going on, blasting off into space, encounter villains, saving the day!!! These adventures allowed me to use my imagination in all kinds of exciting ways. The endless possibilities held no bounds of what could and would happen. I apply this philosophy to this day to image what or how can I make a difference in the world.
