We have three class rules: Be safe. Be kind. Work hard.
If those rules are followed, students will be praised and may receive respect from teachers and peers, compliments, “Caught you Being Good” notes, and even prizes.
If the rules are not followed, students will receive the following consequences:
Most science assignments will be completed in class so that I can provide needed assistance. If a student has science homework, it is usually something they did not complete in class due to misuse of class time or absences. Occasionally, students will be asked to make observations or gather supplies for a project that will be done in class.
**6th grade is an exception. They will have homework on their summit playlist. Students who do not complete it or keep up with assignments may receive a lunch detention where they will be asked to complete the missing work and notify their parents of their irresponsibility.
Only 6th graders will need a “Science Notebook” with graph paper inside.
4th and 5th graders need only their smiles and their brains with them when they enter the science lab. I expect students to come with positive attitudes and to be ready to learn.
We are always in need of supplies. If you can, please help!
