I was born on the east coast, spent my childhood in Germany, New Jersey, Texas, and Tennessee and loved traveling to see my family in Connecticut as a child. I earned my bachelor's of psychology and Master's of Education (with a specialty in Urban/Multicultural studies) in Tennessee. I then packed up my car to pursue sunshine, happiness, and the good life in California.
This is my 23rd year teaching at Sinnott, and I thoroughly enjoy my work every day. There's nothing I'd rather do and no place I'd rather be. When I'm not at work, I enjoy traveling, art, spending time with my daughter and husband, riding my bike to the farmer's market, watching my husband's band play, and spending time with friends. During the pandemic, I wrote and illustrated a children's book. This summer, I traveled to Europe with my family and to many places locally. I hope that you had a wonderful summer and are looking forward to school starting.
Teaching through joyful experiences, humor, strong practice, and interactions are hallmarks of my class. I have very high expectations for academic success and student growth. I love building connections with families and look forward to meeting you all soon. It's going to be a wonderful year.
