School Counseling Core Curriculum Sessions are classroom lessons with a planned ASCA aligned curriculum to meet the needs of all students at Georgetown Elementary. I am on the specials schedule, all grade levels will meet with me twice a month during the designated specials time slot.

The mission of Georgetown Elementary School's Counseling Program is to provide a comprehensive, developmentally age-appropriate school counseling program that is aligned with the American School Counseling Association (ASCA) national standards for school counseling programs. The program will focus on the education of all students in academic, career, and personal/social development in collaborative partnership with parents/guardians, school personnel, and community members. Georgetown Elementary School will provide a safe, positive environment for students to build a foundation of life-long learning skills, good citizenship, respect for self and others, and enthusiasm for achieving their highest creative and academic potential.
Students will become life-long learners in an environment that is supportive, challenging, and positive. Students will demonstrate respect for others as well as themselves and obtain a greater understanding and appreciation of our world.
All students can achieve and meet high standards that will result in college and career success.
Student developmental needs are best met by implementing a comprehensive school counseling program.
School counselors must be leaders, advocates and collaborators who create equitable access to rigorous curriculum and opportunities for self-directed personal growth for every student.
Student achievement is maximized by participation in a comprehensive school counseling program that is planned, managed, delivered and evaluated by licensed professional school counselors.
