Job Title: Chiropractor

Question 1: What would you suggest I do in high school to prepare for this career?

Take a lot of college credits especially science and human science classes like Biology, Chemistry, human anatomy because you need a certain amount of credits before applying to a chiropractic program.


Question #2: What education or training do you need to have for this job?

You must have a Doctorate of Chiropractic which you would get at a chiropractic program. You must have a certain amount of credits before you would be able to apply to a Chiropractic program. She said she went to Western States and you must have 135 quarter credits of specific undergrad classes before you can apply.



Question #3: How much do most people spend on education and training for this career? Do you have any suggestions for how I can pay for that?

She said they spent about 154,000 for the whole education, not including scholarships. She said to apply to as many scholarships as I can and also take as many college credits in high school because they are being paid for so take advantage.


Question #4: What licenses or certifications are required for this job and how often do they have to be renewed? What does that process look like?

A Doctorate in Chiropractic is required and you have to be licensed. You also have to pass all the exams by the NBCE to become licensed. In the state of Idaho you have to renew your license which includes at least 20 continuing education credits.

Job Title: Radiology Technician

Question #1: What would you suggest I do in high school to prepare for this career?

Take some anatomy and physiology classes because you have to know the human  body.


Question #2: What education or training do you need to have for this job?

We don't have to be licensed but most  hospitals do require licenses. We have to do  radiology programs. There are some at CSI and LCSC who have a two year program and you also have to do two years of generals like anatomy and things like that. before that.

Question #3: How much do most people spend on education and training for this career? Do you have any suggestions for how I can pay for that?

They spend about 4,000 a semester and you are able to work part-time at the same time and schools offer a lot of scholarships to apply for all of them.

Question #4: What licenses or certifications are required for this job and how often do they have to be renewed? What does that process look like?


You have to have an ARRT. Also you have to take a 200 hundred question test to be licensed. Every year you have to pay a fee when licensed and  every two years you have to do 24 credits of CT. Every 10 years we have to retake the test.
