Directions for Single-Sign on for Zoom.
Starting next week, you will be required to sign into Zoom to access your classes. We have created MURSD-issued Zoom accounts for each of you with your MURSD email as your username and your MURSD password as your password.
There will likely be a 1 - 2 day grace period for you to get your account set up. By Wednesday 9/30, you will likely not be able to access your classes unless you are signed in with a MURSD account.
I've provided a tutorial below, but you can also access a video tutorial by clicking here. If you get stuck, I can answer questions over the weekend.
Signing in to Zoom
1. You should have received an email asking you to claim your Zoom account. Yes, it was real & yes, Mr. Leacu does exist. He's great. Go ahead and click on Approve Request
2. Select the option that says "Acknowledge and Switch." If you receive a different message, select the option that allows you to create an account.
3. Open Zoom and click the "Sign In" button.
4. Select the SSO option on the next page.
5. Enter MURSD as the company domain.
6. Login with your MURSD email and password
You should remain logged in. However, if you need to login to your account, you can repeat the process from Step 3.
Your Zoom screen name should automatically become your full name. Please do NOT change it.
Follow-Up Information:
If you already have a Zoom account with your MURSD email: You're likely all set. Sign via SSO or Google (if you created your account through Google). See Step 3 to walk through the process.
If you didn't get an email from Zoom: You may still have a Zoom account. See Step 3 and try to log in. If you cannot get access, please email me.
If the Zoom link is expired: You may still have a Zoom account. See Step 3 and try to log in. If you cannot get access, please email me.
If Your SSO doesn't work: Email me. It's possible there's an error in the email we uploaded to Zoom.
How to change your Zoom name so it can say your full name.
New to Zoom?
Although we have been using Zoom since the spring of 2020, many of you may still be new to some of the Zoom features. The following blog entry will walk you through how to mute/unmute, turn video on/off, raise your hand, etc.
