Noble J. Gregory Papers
MS76-01 includes the official and personal correspondence of United States Representative Noble J. Gregory from 1933 to 1970. The bulk of the collection focuses on Congressman Gregory’s eleven terms as representative of Kentucky’s First District from 1936 to 1958. His congressional papers include files on the Tennessee Valley Authority, the Cumberland Dam project, military academy appointments, veterans affairs cases, and letters from prominent state and national politicians. The collection also has banking and business records, campaign remnants, newspaper clippings, photographs, personal items, mementos, ephemera, and other related materials.

The two photos below show the construction of dams on the Cumberland River, which was part of a Tennessee Valley Authority project to curb flooding in the region after the Great Flood of 1937. These 1954 pictures show sections of locks and power plants being constructed.

MS86-02 includes photographic prints of national and state politicians, civic organizations, historic buildings, and public events. Within are images of floods, fires, and scenic photographs of Clinton, Kentucky and Hickman County. The collection also includes photographs of John F. Kennedy in 1960 in Paducah and Harry S. Truman in Murray.

City of Murray and Calloway County Photograph Collection
MS12-01 is an expansive collection of original photographs and copies of photographs of Calloway County from the 1880s - 1980s. It contains images of one room county schoolhouses, prominent families, significant events, and historic buildings, along with negatives and handwritten notes from researchers and publishers.
