In our project, there are students from 4 different countries. How much do we know about these countries? We wanted to assess students' knowledge on national heritage of Spain, Slovenia, Romania and Turkiye.
What did we do?
Teachers Maria Gomez, Emine Kaptan and Evrim Dinç met and talked about the task distribution and how to coordinate this activity. We created a mixed school team.
We had an online meeting with one student from each partner school. We discussed what and how to do a national heritage quiz.
Students decided to prepare a Kahoot by stating their opinions on the zoom chat because the majority of them preferred Kahoot.
Next we created a whatsapp group to discuss the questions and communicate.
Each student prepared one or two question about their country / hometown/ national heritage sites.
By using Picker Wheel, we picked up a student as the team leader to whom all the students in the Kahoot team sent the questions by e-mail.
Once the team leader collected all the questions from all the partners, one of the students created a Kahoot.
8. One of the students in the Kahoot team volunteered to prepare a poster of the team mates.
9. The Kahoot link was shared with all the partners and played in the classes.
10. Students enjoyed the Kahoot and learned many things about these 4 countries.

My student Melek volunteered to be in the Roots and Routes team. She discussed the quiz questions with peers. She made some changes in the quiz style and options.I exchanged views with my eTwinner teachers and collaborated enthusiastically in this activity. I scheduled a zoom meeting at a certain time appropriate for all countries. Students in the team planned, prepared and presented the Kahoot successfully. My students realized they should learn more about the partner countries.
María Moreno from Maristas Málaga
My student Paula volunteered to be in the Roots and Routes teams. She was in charge to create a question related to Malaga. We thought it would be interesting to have out mates guess how many inhabitants live in our city and appearently, not even us knew the answer.
We had a lot of fun playing our Kahoot and loved to learn more about our mates' heritage.

After the quiz was prepared, my students were eager to have the Kahoot activity. The one worked on the quiz (Irmak) had made her friends curious about it. Therefore, when we had the quiz in class, all the students participated voluntarily and happily. Even though they knew the partnering schools, they had difficulty in answering some of the questions. I believe being a part of this project will help my students learn about other countries/cultures and develop themselves responsibly.
Cigdem KAHVECI KOSTERELI/AKSEMSETTIN MTAL
My student Irmak was my student in charge of this event. We prepared a question with our school team about the places included in the Unesco world heritage. Then, all my students answered the quiz, which included questions from all our partners. My students had a hard time answering most of the questions. But it was very interesting to learn new information at the end of the event. This event was very useful in getting to know each other's cultures.
