Pupils from 3º ESO welcomed their friends from Enkhuizen on their arrival in Caravaca. They spent the afternoon together and visited the Festivity Museum and the Basilica de la Vera Cruz.
On the first day at IES Ginés Pérez Chirinos, students participated in some sport activities and games to break the ice and get to know one another.
During this week of hard work, students repeated the same scheme they did in Enkhuizen but, on this occasion, the "star city" of the guidebook was Caravaca de la Cruz.
Students walked around our town to collect information, take photographs and ask questions with a purpose: to write all together a Caravaca guidebook for Teens!
Pupils walked around the streets in groups to collect information for the guidebook and participate in a Gymkhana.
They also enjoyed a descent on boat down the Segura River and the Almadenes Canyon which is a Protected Natural Area, an oasis of bidodiversity that has one of the best preserved riverside forests in our territory.
As part of the cultural programme, pupils learned about traditional games in Spain such us "steal the bacon".
Wasps came to spoil the lunch. Despite that, we had a ball!
On the last day of our week together, pupils gave presentations in groups before our Headmaster and the Mayor of Caravaca. At this closing event, the guidebook was also presented.
They were awarded a certificate for their participation in the project.

Take a little time to watch this video which contains a summary of an amazing week in Caravaca.
It was a pleasure to host our friends from RSG-Enkhuizen.
We just hope we'll be able to work together again and continue this wonderful friendship to develop more Erasmus+ projects in the future.
See you next time!💙
