Hola! My name is Anahí. I graduated with a BA in Psychology, unsure of where I was headed but certain I wanted to make a difference in the lives of others. As fate would have it, I discovered my love for children soon after I traveled to Asia as an ESL teacher for children ages 3-7. I taught in China and South Korea for a couple years and gained experience with individual tutoring, small groups, and larger groups of <20 children. I then returned home to the Bay Area to take Early Childhood Education classes and teach at preschools in the East Bay. I began teaching at a Spanish immersion preschool where I continued to marvel at how easily children pick up a second language. After 6 years of working with children, it became my dream to open a small home daycare where I could provide quality care and teach children Spanish. In 2023, this dream became a reality.
Mundo Mágico was created to be exactly as the name describes- a "magical world" for children to thrive in. A safe, loving place guided by educators who understand how critical these first years are for children's growth and development. At Mundo Mágico, children are presented with a stimulating environment and developmentally appropriate activities that allow them to explore, learn and grow. Come experience the magic for yourself!
When not caring for children, I'm spending time with my husband and our sweet dog. I enjoy lifting weights, reading self-improvement books, practicing Korean, and traveling. Living a healthy lifestyle, prioritizing personal development, and caring for the environment are important to me and something I love to share with others.
