Philosophy

Mundo Mágico was created as a place for children to play, explore and create in a warm, loving environment. Our preschool curriculum is 100% in Spanish and taught naturally through daily activities led by Anahi, a native Spanish speaker. Activities are thoughtfully arranged to provoke curiosity, encourage exploration, and support creativity.

Mundo Mágico is play-based and inspired by Waldorf and Reggio-Emilia education philosophies. There is a daily schedule and routine, which includes a morning circle time, group activities, and outdoor play (including nature walks). Children foster their self-confidence and independence through self-directed play as well as the freedom to explore their environment and take healthy risks. 

Mundo Mágico enrolls a maximum of 5 children, ensuring a low adult to child ratio. This cozy setting will ensure children are receiving plenty of quality care and supervision while each having their unique needs met.

At Mundo Magico, we believe in the power of play-based learning. With purposeful activities and a teacher to support and facilitate, children acquire skills such as cooperation, early math, risk taking, problem-solving, etc.

Mindfulness

Mundo Magico believes in the importance of mindfulness and incorporating mindfulness exercises in the classroom. Mindfulness practices such as yoga, breathing exercises and stretching are incorporated throughout the week. Studies show that benefits include: decreased levels of stress and disruptive behavior, increased focus and self-control, and improved academic performance.
