What does global communication mean? It is the ability to connect with people from different cultures and values. It is about respecting their backgrounds while clearly sharing your own ideas. Sports athletes are excellent examples of successful global communicators. Many athletes speak English as a second language and often play in countries far from their home countries. Through their experiences, we can learn about communicating across cultures and languages. This video will focus on Rui Hachimura, a professional NBA player, as an example. It will explore key aspects of global communication based on Rui's experiences.

Do you know the term "lookism"? Even if you’re unfamiliar with it, that’s understandable—according to the website called Statista, a 2023 survey on gender equality found that nearly 70% of respondents had not heard of the term. Lookism means prejudice or discrimination based on a person’s appearance. It is now one of the significant and urgent global concerns. Then, I would like to propose one solution for it —-- using inclusive language. It has the power to address the issue, and it also encourages us to embrace the diversity of our appearance. This “ Ted -style” video explains how lookism is deeply embedded in society, how language contributes to it, and the steps we should take to improve our society.
