Wouldn’t you like to know more about Japanese food culture deeply? When visitors have an understanding of Japanese food culture, they are able to enjoy their time in Japan even more. When you hear the word “Japanese food”, what foods come to your mind? Sushi, tempura, or ramen? As you know, Japanese food is popular all over the world. In reality, Japanese people usually eat simpler meals in their daily lives. Another interesting aspect of Japanese culture is lunch, which has an educational and social component. Japanese lunch culture is not just about having food; it is an important part of daily life and culture. Also, Japanese people care about manners while eating. These manners show people how to eat beautifully such as how to use chopsticks and proper table etiquette. This presentation will introduce a variety of unique Japanese food culture such as original food, lunch, and proper manners.

Do you know that Japanese events and festivals have such a long history, as long as 1000 years? In Japan, there are a lot of interesting events and festivals, including national and regional ones. Many people all over the world participate in these events every year and have fun throughout the traditional activities. There are many national events in Japan. Some are respectful, some are romantic, and some are for children. People love and enjoy them very much. In addition, regional festivals reflect Japanese people's values and play important roles for Japanese. Also, current festivals are changing their styles to fit society by accepting many people all over the world. In this presentation, the presenters want you to learn about the history of not only the past, but also of the present.
