¡Bienvenidos! Welcome!
I'm Trecia Taylor... Many of you will come to know me as Maestra Taylor (maestra is teacher in Spanish). I'm blessed to be embarking on my 11th year teaching Spanish here at Mingus! I have the honor of being the Advisor for the Latino Student Union. I'm also very excited to be an Advisor for the Freshman Marauder Class of 2028! I am very passionate about Psychology and feel fortunate to be teaching it for the fourth year.
I studied Spanish for four years in High School and continued my study of Spanish at Northern Arizona University, where Spanish was my minor and Psychology my major. I also have a Secondary Education certification via Rio Salado College.
My hobbies are singing, travelling, going to the creek/river and spending time with my family. I love spending time outdoors and I am the singer in a local rock band. I am obsessed with otters, anything purple, Día de los Muertos, Harry Potter and Pearl Jam. I have two little dogs named Chuy and Peanut. You will probably hear me talk about all of these things a lot!
I'm looking forward to a great year I can't wait to support you along your journey!
Sinceremente,
Maestra
