Welcome! I am Coach Erick Quesada. I am a proud alumnus of Mingus Union High School (Class of 2011) and currently in my 9th year of teaching here at Mingus. After high school, I attended Arizona State University, Chandler-Gilbert Community College, Western Oregon University, and Texas Wesleyan University—where I played collegiate baseball and earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology.

I serve as the Head Varsity Baseball Coach and teach Sports Performance. Over the years, I've also taught Physical Education, Biology, and Earth Science. I truly love what I do—there’s nothing better than seeing that "light bulb" moment when a student connects with a new concept.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our 1-year-old daughter Kiki, our dogs, and our family and friends. Each summer, I head to North Carolina to work with USA Baseball, where I’m fortunate to scout and coach for the 12U National Team. It’s a privilege to be part of the Mingus community, working alongside such dedicated staff and inspiring students.
