WELCOME TO SPORTS MEDICINE!

I am a proud native of Cottonwood & Mingus alumni. My sports medicine journey began through the program at Mingus. This privilege impacted my life tremendously & led me into my collegiate career pursuing a degree in Athletic Training as a first generation college student. I attended Mesa Community College & Metropolitan State University of Denver after I graduated from Mingus. I was honored to receive athletic scholarships & played collegiate golf at both of the colleges I attended. My college career led me back home to Mingus, coming full circle, to serve the community of Mingus student-athletes & the sports medicine students. I love this setting and truly believe I was meant to make an impact here.

I have been at Mingus for the last 7.5 years, previously as the athletic trainer on campus. I have made the decision to transition my work from the clinical setting into the teaching world. I am excited to teach my students about sports medicine & life skills that I have experienced & developed during my journey so far. My goal is to capture students' interest in the medical profession & promote foundational skills that will help them succeed in whatever they choose!
