If for any reason you are injured and your doctor/ parents/ guardian do not want you participating in PE, please bring in a doctor's note specifically stating what you can and can't do.
We still expect you to dress out and stay engaged in class discussions but will limit activity based on the doctor's note. A phone call home will usually follow to communicate with parents/guardians. If you choose to sit out and not do anything (do not try playing on phone, etc), you will receive a zero for the day. You will have a chance to make up that day.
Cell Phone Policy:
Absolutely NO phones are to be out in the classroom or in the gym. ZERO TOLERANCE.
*If seen using, they will be confiscated, and you will be able to pick it up at the end of the day in the front office.
Attendance & Tardy Policy-
Attendance: Zero points will be given for BOTH Excused and Unexcused ABSENCES until made-up. Students are allowed to make up a maximum of 4 excused absences per quarter, by doing activities on Coach Moncibaez google classroom page, during lunch or after school. Students will have 1 week to do so upon return to school.
Tardiness: Do not be late to the locker room or late to attendance. Students must be in the locker room when the bell rings or they will be TARDY! Students not in class (gym, track, field etc.) on time for attendance will also be Tardy! Students MUST remain in the locker room until the bell rings at the end of the period. Leaving without a pass from your teacher will be the same as leaving class without permission, this will result in a zero for the day and a class cut. Attendance will be taken at the beginning of every class.
Behavioral Management Plan- If a behavior problem arises, the following consequence plan will be employed:
1st Offense – Verbal Warning
2nd Offense – Student/Teacher Conference
3rd Offense - Parent phone call 4th Offense – Referral to Administration
*If a single behavioral interaction is a serious violation, a student can expect to be immediately referred to administration and/or removed from class.
