Nipper Age Groups
The Nipper Age groups are outlined on our Welcome Page. For new nippers, we will require verification of their age. This can be undertaken by scanning a copy of the children’s birth certificate or passport to the Club Office at thcslsc@outlook.com
Alternatively, you can provide a copy to the Nipper Registrar on the Pool Evaluation Days or prior to the start of nippers on the first day.
Nipper Program
Nippers is a great way to spend a Sunday morning at the beach. It offers a fun and active lifestyle choice for children between the ages of 5-14, as well as a solid base for competition in surf sport activities. Our aim is to provide an opportunity to learn more about the beach and the surf in a safe and enjoyable environment and encourage the next generation of young lifesavers.
This has been a very unusual year, we are planning to kick off in late September with our Induction Days outlined on our welcome page. Information will be confirmed, along with the relevant health guide lines to be followed for our nipper activities as soon as we have finalised.
Pool Evaluation
All Nippers in the Under 6 to 14 Age Groups must undertake a swim proficiency each year. Unfortunately, the children will be not be able to participate in nippers until this has been completed.
We will provide 2 opportunities at Oasis Pool at Banora for this to be undertaken.
You must bring a copy of your membership payment receipt to the pool evaluation to confirm you have paid your membership fees.
Membership Fees
Membership with the Club will not be finalised until the member fees have been paid. These can be paid through your online account established with your registration. You can find our membership fees for 2020/21 under this link. If you have any questions regarding paying of fees please contact the office during office hours.
FairPlay Vouchers
Parents, carers’ or guardians can apply for a voucher up to $150 for eligible children and young people from the Queensland Government. Tweed Heads and Coolangatta is a registered organisation. To find out more or apply go to: www.qld.gov.au/recreation/sports/fairplay

from this link.
The applications must be returned to the Club office, with verification of a certified ID, such as
driver’s license, Photo ID, marine licence or a Queensland CRN number .
You can email the documents to Helen at thcslsc@outlook.com .
Please bring original documents to the office before start of the season.
