The mission of the Mount Vernon R-V School District is to provide a safe, secure, and healthy environment ensuring all students are given learning experiences to realize their full potential as productive, self-sufficient, engaged citizens.

Mr. Hopkins is beginning his 11th year of teaching art education. He has taught in Dixon, Conway, and Walnut Grove before becoming a Mt'neer.
Mr. Hopkins is currently the District 10 Representative and is also on the executive council for MAEA.
