Dear MT Students and Parents, 

I am the school counselor at Mark Twain Elementary.  My goal is to help you succeed at school and in your  future goals.  So what does a school counselor do? 

•Monthly or weekly classroom visits where we discuss important topics such as bullying, conflict resolution, healthy choices, anger & stress management, colleges & careers, and more.

•Student support groups for students that need additional support to be successful in school.

•Brief counseling with students about problems they are having related to school, friends, family, and anything else they need support with.

•Community counseling referrals for students that need longer-term counseling or therapy.

•Orientations for new students to acclimate to our school through various programs and activities.
