Vinh Nguyen, PhD

Principal Investigator

Vinh Nguyen joined as an Assistant Professor at Michigan Technological University in 2022. Prior to starting at Michigan Tech, Vinh received his Doctoral Degree in Mechanical Engineering and his Master’s Degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical & Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology in addition to receiving undergraduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. After his time at Georgia Tech, Vinh was a National Research Council Fellow in the Intelligent Systems Division at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Vinh currently conducts research in automation, big data analytics, machine learning, and human-robot-machine interaction in the interdisciplinary field of manufacturing.
