Austin West receives the 2024 Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF)! Austin will work on laser interference lithography and the fabrication of distributed feedback lasing resonators for the summer. Austin also receives the Physics Department Scholar Award. Congrats!
Cooper Chiarino and Caden Sheofsky will continue working for the summer as undergraduate researchers. Cooper will also work as a lab assistant at the ACMAL facility at MTU.

A follow-up paper on alkali metal (Na, K, and Na-K alloy) nanostructures has been accepted at Nano Letters! Aaron and Caden have contributed to this collaborative work as the co-authors.

Suh receives an internal Advanced Materials and Manufacturing (AMM) grant ($10K).
Suh's paper (corresponding author), in collaboration with Dr. Sungho Choi at KRICT and Dr. Chul-Hoon Kim at Korea University, has been just accepted at Advanced Optical Materials (IF: 10.05) and is included in a Special Issue of the Journal on "Photophysics of halide perovskites - from bulk to nano".

Suh receives a research grant (ERI) from NSF for developing quantum-light-emitting devices based on superfluorescent quasi-2D perovskites.
Ryan passed all the PhD qualifying exams. Congrats.
