- You can post assignments, questions, and materials.

When you create an assignment, you can use TOPICS to organize them (think of them as folders or headings)

- Your assignments can include file attachments, videos or links
- Use topics to organize your assignments
- Use the 'instructions' area of the assignment for detailed instructions
- Options for when to post assignments:
- Immediately
- Schedule a date/time
- Save the post as a draft
- Due date/time - assignments with a due date will be added to the class calendar
- After students complete and turn in their work, you can grade and return it to the students (they will not see a grade in Google Classroom until you grade & return their assignment)

The Quiz Assignment sets up a Google Form that can be used for surveys, questionnaires, etc.

For an assignment, students see either a “Mark as done” button or a “Turn in” button. The difference is whether or not the student is submitting an attachment.

When you turn on originality reports, you and your students can check work for authenticity. Originality reports use Google Search to compare a student’s work against billions of webpages and millions of books. Originality reports link to the detected webpages and flag uncited text. The reports can:

The reports can:
- Help students identify unintentional plagiarism and uncited content before submitting assignments.
- Help teachers see where students used source material and where citations are present or missing.

- It only works with Google Docs
- You can turn on originality reports for 3 assignments per class
- When you turn on originality reports for an assignment, students can run 3 reports on that assignment before submitting their work. You can’t see the reports students run. After students run their last report, they can continue to improve their work before submitting the assignment.
- When students turn in their work, Classroom automatically runs an originality report for each submitted Docs file, visible only to you. If a student unsubmits and resubmits an assignment, Classroom runs another originality report for the teacher.
