Life science is the study of living things and their interactions with each other and their environments. It explores what makes something alive, how living things function, grow, reproduce, and adapt. Major areas of life science include:
Cells and Genetics – understanding that cells are the basic unit of life and how traits are passed through DNA.
Human Body Systems – how organs and systems (like circulatory, respiratory, digestive) work together to keep us alive.
Ecology – how organisms interact with each other and their environments, including food chains, ecosystems, and biodiversity.
Evolution – how species change over time through natural selection and adaptation.
Microorganisms, Plants, and Animals – studying the diversity of life and the roles different organisms play in ecosystems.
