Welcome Letter

Dear Students and Parents,

Welcome to First Grade! We hope you enjoyed your summer. What an exciting time this is, as we begin the wonderful journey of learning! We are so happy to have you in our class and look forward to meeting you in September. With the collaboration of parents, teachers, and students we are certain that this will be a fun and successful year for all.

For the first day of school, we’d like for you to bring the following:

• • • • • • A picture of you and your family to be displayed all year

          • A picture of your child no bigger than 2” x 2”

          • Information tag with bus number attached to your book bag

          • Nut-Free Healthy Snack (everyday)

          • Single spiral notebook

          • 4 dry erase markers and an eraser

          • 3 large glue sticks (no liquid glue please)

          • 3 packs of 3” x 3” post-its

          • 3 packages of baby wipes

          • 2 sets of headphones in a Ziploc bag both labeled with your child’s name for technology and the classroom

          • A smile:)
