Parent Night Presentation

NEXT STEPS 

• Talk to your children about their elective options and choices

• Reference the slide show that we reviewed at our Parent Presentation and during flex with the Rising 7th Grade Students

• Rank 6 electives in priority order and set a good time to log into Parent Resources with your child to make your requests

• Take your time, it is NOT first come first serve, it is more important that you follow all of the steps correctly

• Log Into Parent Resources

  • Go To: Scheduling Tab

  • Go To: Request Tab

  • Go To: Request a Course for Electives,  World Language, and Music (if interested)

  • Select the Green Button: “Request this Course”

    • Use the dropdown menu to indicate priority.  REMEMBER if you are a music student, please rank your music course #1, and then choose 5 additional elective courses 

• The request window is ONLY open from March 24th-April 7th

• If your child is interested in being a part of the UMS Unified Program they now have the ability to do so as a 7th Grader

  • How do you do that?

• Simply fill out the google form linked HERE  to indicate your interest 

• You do not need to add it to your ranked electives in the selections on Parent Resources, as it will not be an option

• Your responses on the form will be reviewed and if you are accepted, the Unified elective will replace one of your 6 choices.  This is something that Ms. Moore and your counselor/case manager will add to your schedule over the summer.
