Dear New 3rd Grader,
Hello! I am Mrs. Potter, and I am your teacher for this school year!
I am thrilled to know that you will be joining my class as a member of the V.E.S. Bluebird team. I have been busy organizing and decorating our classroom, setting up your special desk and cubby for your very special belongings!
Did you know that you will become historians, mathematicians, scientists, spelling experts, famous authors, and illustrators this year? Learning will become a wave of enthusiasm as we sing, create, and engineer our way through the subjects! You will experience challenging tasks while making new friends! Oh, and did I mention that you will be learning cursive too? I bet you are smiling just now thinking about how sensational 3rd grade is going to be! Get ready to work hard, but you will love learning in the Potter Community!
To start our year off smoothly, there is a general 3rd Grade supply list posted on the V.E.S. website. However, my list at the bottom of this letter includes those items as well, so reference my supply list before shopping. Bring these school supplies on the first/2nd day of school, so we can get organized right away. Also, bring two of your favorite books to read, a favorite summer picture of you and your family, a healthy snack, and a water bottle. I can hardly wait to meet you!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Potter
